| I had never ridden on a bike in my life. I started riding at the young age of 56 in the Spring of 2004. My first bike was a 250 Rebel which I stated riding in a field behind my house. I never thought I would get off the back road onto the main highway, but I did! It didn't take long for me to outgrow the Rebel, so I purchased a 2004 Yamaha 650 VStar. My husband dropped me off at the motorcycle shop; he then went on his way and I rode it home. At this point I have put 31,000 miles on it. I have ridden cross country, through 9 states and have several long trips planned in the Summer of 2008. If someone had told me that I would ride a motorcycle and put that many miles on it I would have told them they were crazy. I am having the time of my life. |
